I try to build baloo and kdepim: I did following steps for installation:
Akonadi: git clone http://anongit.kde.org/akonadi kdepimlibs: git clone http://anongit.kde.org/kdepimlibs baloo: git clone http://anongit.kde.org/baloo kdepim: git clone http://anongit.kde.org/kdepim and then: mkdir build cd build cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=debugfull .. make make install So while building kdepimlibs it requires kdelibs 4.12, i asked in irc it told me to use backports and update to kde 4.12 : http://www.noobslab.com/2014/01/install-kde-412-in-ubuntulinux.html sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade But as i did this: in ubuntu 12.04 Lts and then once more in kubuntu 13.10: my akonadi crashes: I googled and found the same bug reported: (i couldnt report my bug,some net problem) http://osdir.com/ml/kdepim-bugs/2013-12/msg00635.html (akonadi crashes when upgraded from 4.11 to 4.12) Thats the reason I am till now not able to proceed in my work..!!!!!!! beacuse my kmail/akonadi crashes as soon as i upgrade using kubuntu-backports Thanxs, Pramiti
