What mess? So far we know of one application that is affected by this in a negative manner, and the developer already plans to fix it. Then we have some minor consistency issues, all from one class of application, that users are unlikely to notice unless they are specifically looking for it (most users aren't going to drag on the game board unless the game specifically calls for dragging). I would hardly call that a "mess". So far, the complaints are mostly hypothetical.
