Bug ID: 496436 Summary: Improvement in Miscellaneous settings Classification: Applications Product: digikam Version: 8.5.0 Platform: Appimage OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Setup-Misc Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: nic...@tuxfamily.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 175932 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=175932&action=edit DK Setting window for "Download Required Binary Data..." 1) In "Miscellaneous settings", "System" tab, the big button "Download Required Binary Data..." can be misleading. It is below "Enable internal debug logging" option so we could think these "Binary Data" are related to debug while it is for face management models/Auto tag features. -> Either rename the button to show for what it is related / or add a clear section for it in the Settings. (REASON: in fact I was searching in the digikam settings where I can download the last version for the face detection model: it was difficult to find because not clearly indicated) 2) Also, in the window that opens, the button "Download" is disabled. I suppose it is because I have already downloaded the required files. But the text in that window says that files are missing (see attachment). -> Text to adapt / or better inform which files are already downloaded (REASON: in fact, if I went to that setting, it was to be sure that I have downloaded the last version of the face detection models, but I cannot be sure with that window dialog). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
