Bug ID: 496292 Summary: Intermittent failures to open context menu Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.2.3 Platform: openSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: pallasw...@proton.me CC: qydwhotm...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 175835 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=175835&action=edit Demonstration video showing context menu failing to open intermittently, using a new user account SUMMARY Right-clicking on entries in the Icons and Text Task Manager, intermittently fails. Dwelling on the entry before clicking seems to prevent the failure. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Right-click task manager entry (be quick) OBSERVED RESULT Nothing EXPECTED RESULT Menu SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.8 Qt Version: 6.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is new, so I looked at what changed recently on my system. Perhaps there's a correlation. Some 2-3 days ago, I upgraded KF from 6.7 to 6.8. I feel like there's a strong chance I'd have noticed this sooner, if it were that - although different apps seem to be more reliable; plus, I'm injured, thus slow, and this is time-sensitive... so it's possible I just didn't see this behaviour until now. Another recent change was to qt6-declarative, related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=494804 I'm not sure that there is any correlation or not, here, I just thought it might be relevant so I should mention it. Thanks for any help. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
