ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is new, so I looked at what changed recently on my system. Perhaps there's
a correlation.

Some 2-3 days ago, I upgraded KF from 6.7 to 6.8. I feel like there's a strong
chance I'd have noticed this sooner, if it were that - although different apps
seem to be more reliable; plus, I'm injured, thus slow, and this is
time-sensitive... so it's possible I just didn't see this behaviour until now.

Another recent change was to qt6-declarative, related to
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=494804 I'm not sure that there is any
correlation or not, here, I just thought it might be relevant so I should
mention it.

Thanks for any help.
