Its an issue with the KDE formulas homebrew is using. Their github (https://github.com/KDE/homebrew-kde) has no way to report issues and links to the official KDE site for people who want to donate. There's also a category in the bugtracker above for homebrew, so I had assumed the maintainers of that repo were here.
