Specifically, try this: 0 `killall systemsettings` in a terminal window just to start with a clean state 1. Open System Settings 2. Navigate to Colors & Themes > Color Schemes 3. Click "Get New" 4. Immediately close the dialog 5. Close System Settings' Window 6. Attempt to re-open System Settings using a GUI method (kickoff, krunner, task manager, global shortcut, etc) If System Settings opens, then Bug 492998 is fixed and the issue you're experiencing is something else. In that case, let's re-open this and I'll need you to provide exact steps to reproduce for it.
