Bug ID: 496137 Summary: Feed repeatedly jumps back when scrolling Classification: Applications Product: NeoChat Version: 24.08.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: fe...@posteo.de Reporter: craig.mag...@proton.me CC: c...@carlschwan.eu, j...@redstrate.com Target Milestone: --- *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Please remove this comment after reading and before submitting - thanks! *** SUMMARY When scrolling a room's feed, the feed will sometimes start fighting you on scrolling by jumping back to a message (it keeps placing the same message at the bottom of the view even though you are trying to scroll beyond it, basically feels like the feed is fighting you on scrolling down). Eventually it might start scrolling past this point, but not always. Sometimes I find I have to just jump to the bottom with the jump arrow. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a room 2. Click the jump to last read message arrow 3. Start scrolling down the feed OBSERVED RESULT Feed fights you on scrolling past certain messages EXPECTED RESULT Scrolling to continue smoothly SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora Silverblue 41 (but also experienced on Fedora Kinoite and Fedora Workstation with the KDE desktop installed) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: 6.7.0 Qt Version: 6.8.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
