Guss77 on KDE Discuss posted a solution for this problem. It worked on my
machine and for three others who had the same issues.
apt --fix-broken -o Dpkg::Options::="--force-overwrite" install
apt full-upgrade -o Dpkg::Options::="--force-overwrite"
apt autoremove --purge
