            Bug ID: 495932
Summary: Laptop can exclusively Lock OR Turn Off Screen but NOT
                    BOTH?!
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: Powerdevil
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: myst...@gmail.com
                CC: natalie_clar...@yahoo.de
  Target Milestone: ---

KDE powerdevil seems to only have 2 states that are mutually exclusive:

Lock screen when laptop lid closed
OR
Turn off screen when laptop lid closed
BUT NOT BOTH AT THE SAME TIME

Why?

When I close the screen I immediately want BOTH to occur. Lock, and turn off
screen.
Why is this not a setting option?

There are workarounds "use xset dpms force off in a notifications menu when the
screen locks" "use dbus-send to do it in wayland"

WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR A WORKAROUND?!

Every other OS, and DE for Linux seem to get this right, if you don't have them
automatically suspend. And when I'm charging my laptop I don't want automatic
suspend.
