Sorry, 0.5 seconds is not enough to load some modern image formats, even with a
second and fast computers there has to be a delay. And pre-loading doesn't help
if there isn't enough time.
You would have to pre-load all images in the size of the screen and
uncompressed as a temporary storage and then always load them quickly.

Simply setting the time parameter and reducing the minimum is not enough here.
