Bug ID: 495269 Summary: MXF files not displayed on Digikam Classification: Applications Product: digikam Version: 8.4.0 Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Preview-Video Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: roberto.quintero.lo...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Bug 471546 appears resolved but proved in digikam 8.4.0 with MXF files and I have the same problem The video files come from a Sony PXW-Z190 camera and are inside an MXF container and recorded with the Sony xavc codec (h264/avc/mpeg-4 avc/mpeg-4 part 10). They can be viewed correctly in VLC and MPV and edited correctly in Kdenlive. However, Digikam does not detect them. In the digikam menu Help-Components-Info dialog, in the section on video decoders supported by ffmpeg, it appears reflected. I don't know if it is a digikam error or if it needs an additional plugin to be able to display it or if the support has to be implemented additionally. When constantly using both photographic and video material, it is very convenient to use the same program to manage both photos and videos as DAM without having to change applications.
