User interface showing the mouse connected but the bluetooth disabled

Bluetooth is marked as disabled, and clicking on "enable bluetooth" doesn't do
anything, but I can connect the mouse from the command line. 
Once it is connected the systray icon changes to show a device is connected but
still reports the bluetooth as off.
