Both this and the issue you linked result from the gestures being active when
they should not be. I'll mark this one as duplicate of the other because of
that, but the "replacing buttons with a pill" could be a standalone feature
request. In the current system that's not the design intention (it's either nav
bar without gestures or gestures), but I can see people wanting that (even if
just for familiarity from other OSes)
