I see that you are having trouble taking a screenshot while a popup menu (also
known as a context menu or right click menu) is open and that you are using
X11. Unfortunately, popup menus on X11 block all mouse and keyboard input to
things outside of the popup menu. This is unlikely to ever be fixed since it is
a problem that comes from X11 itself. The only way to take a screenshot of a
popup menu on X11 is to take a screenshot with a delay. Try setting a 5 second
delay, start a rectangular region screenshot, open the popup menu and wait for
the delay to finish to take a screenshot of it. On Wayland, you don't need to
set a delay to take a rectangular region screenshot of a popup menu.
