Hi Boudewijn,

That's what I thought too, except that when I first installed it, it worked
fine. It was only after I unchecked OpenGL and then rechecked it that the
troubles began.
I'm using Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics, which apparently is compatible
with Open GL 4.0, but potentially not Krita's implementation of it? I
hadn't updated anything for a long time, and as I say, when I first
installed, it worked fine. 2.9.11.0 works perfectly, so for the time being,
that's what I'll use.

I did update my display drivers to the latest available, then tried to
install 3.0.1.1 over 2.9.11.0 (which didn't work), and also tried
uninstalling completely and reinstalling from scratch (also didn't work).
Same result each time, always crashes when I try to create a new document.

In any case, hopefully the attached is helpful. I'm running a pretty
middle-of-the-road machine, so it might be helpful for other casual users
to know of potential issues with similar machines.

Thanks for taking a look! I'm always blown away how fast you respond! I'm
glad you and your team are around--Krita is amazing (even the slightly
older versions)!
