I am observing the same behaviour on a recent Arch Linux installation. I'm
backing up to an ZFS file system on an external NAS. Without changes to the
setup, KUP suddenly stopped working when run from my local machine. Running bup
on the NAS successfully completes fsck.

OBSERVED RESULT
Kup is starting bup backup job at Tuesday 20 August 2024 19:01:55 CEST
