Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about that. Alternately, if you uncheck the box, and assign ctrl+shift as an alternative shortcut, it should just work, and not block other shortcuts. (Avoid alt+shift for now, since it has some issues) Currently modifier-only shortcuts will trigger if you release all pressed modifiers quickly.
