I have been seeing some choppiness in that animation on 6.1.3 (laptop and 2
external displays). It looks the same on my 6.1.3 system as in the attached
video.
I do not see this slowness on git-master. Going into Add Widgets, the animation
is smooth (and this system is older than the one running 6.1.3). I set the
animation speed slower so I could see the it clearly.
Tested with just the laptop, and also with it plugged into an external monitor
(so 2 displays)
Multiple applications were open, including a couple of Electron apps (which are
more resource heavy)
Please still let us know if the animation is still slow on your system with
Plasma 6.1.4 and Frameworks 6.4, or newer
