Bug ID: 491318 Summary: "Error loading QML file" in System Settings Classification: Applications Product: systemsettings Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: yanitsa.1...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 172311 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=172311&action=edit Video of me showing the bug SUMMARY For some time now whenever I open the settings and go into the "Touchpad" menu the page is completely blank. Then when I go in any other menu some of them display a QML file error. The first one I found was in "General Behavior", which is shown in the video I will attach. I tried this bug with the other settings menus and found that these also show a QML error: Shortcuts (Keyboard), Sound, Display & Monitor, Bluetooth, Thunderbolt, Printers, Wi-Fi & Networking and Firewall (Wi-Fi & Internet), Remote Desktop, Wallpaper, all the menus in Colors & Themes, Fonts (Text & Fonts), Notifications, all the menus in Window Management except Window Behavior and Task Switcher, General Behavior, Search (both File and Plasma search), Application Permissions, User Feedback, Region & Language, Power Management, Autostart and Desktop Session (Session). The error does not show when entering any of these and then "Touchpad" - it works just fine. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open System Settings 2. Go in "Mouse & Touchpad" settings 3. Go in "Touchpad" 4. Go in any of the settings menus I mentioned above OBSERVED RESULT "Error loading QML file." with specific messages for each menu (kcm_bluetooth for Bluetooth, kcm_pulseaudio for Sound, etc...). For example the message in the video I attached is: qrc:/kcm/kcm_workspace/main.qml:19 Type Kirigami.InlineMessage unavailable file:///usr/lib/qt6/qml/org/kde/kirigami/InlineMessage.qml:63 Type KT.InlineMessage unavailable qrc:/qt/qml/org/kde/kirigami/templates/InlineMessage.qml:123 Cannot assign object of type "TP.IconPropertiesGroup" to property of type "IconPropertiesGroup_QMLTYPE_98*" as the former is neither the same as the latter nor a sub-class of it. EXPECTED RESULT Expected result: no errors.
