Thank you for the bug report! Is this still the case for you?
I've tried this in several circumstances (computer to computer, computer to
phone, in both the 5 and 6 series of KF/Qt). The textfield accepts the keys and
sends the to the device, but it does not display the characters itself and so
does not get filles. I assume this was changed at some point, though I couldn't
find anything with a quick glance at the commit history.
If you still experience the box filling up, please add more details about the
specific circumstances to this bug report.
