Furthermore, the Krita Artists forum software does not allow one to upload such a JPEG file that was exported by Krita, raising the error "no byte order information found". Finally, if the Windows 7 color-managed photo viewer is used to view a wide-gamut JPEG file, colors are desaturated, as if it is interpreted as an sRGB image. _Not_ exporting the metadata prevents all issues stated here. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a file in Krita 2. Export the file as JPEG, making sure that "Store Document Metadata" is on, with the formats "Exif", "IPTC" and "XMP" checked 3. Try to open the file, either in Photoshop (CS 6) or try and upload the JPEG to the Krita Artists forum in a post. OBSERVED RESULT Photoshop gives a warning: "This document contains Adobe Photoshop data that appears to be damaged. Continue and ignore the Photoshop data?". If one chooses "Yes", the process halts with the error message: "Could not complete your request because of a program error". The Krita Artists forum (https://krita-artists.org): the forum blocks the upload with a "no byte order information found" message. Windows Photo Viewer (from Windows 7) displays the image with desaturated colors if the image contained a wide-gamut color profile. If "Store Document Metadata" is _not_ checked, none of the issues described here occur.
