Bug ID: 490689 Summary: KDE Connect not connecting to Android phone with KDE Connect app Classification: Applications Product: kdeconnect Version: 24.05.2 Platform: Flatpak OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: common Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: sbarnar...@proton.me CC: andrew.g.r.hol...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** SUMMARY Can't connect phone and laptop together with KDE Connect. Trying to add with IP address didn't appear to work either. The software on both devices is up to date. It has worked in the past, but not easily - had to be done with IP address, but it worked. Bluetooth didn't work either (I realize it's in beta). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install KDE Connect on Fedora Linux with Plasma DE 2. Install KDE Connect on Android phone (mine is currently running Android 14) 3. Try connecting devices through app on phone or on laptop/desktop OBSERVED RESULT No connection created. EXPECTED RESULT Connection between devices. c SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora with Plasma DE (available in About System) Kernel Version: 6.9.9-200.fc40.x86_64 (64-bit) KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Hardware in use: 16 × 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1240P 15.3 GiB of RAM Mesa Intel® Graphics Framework As stated above, this has worked before, just not seamlessly. Isn't working at all now. Please don't take this as a negative complaint - really appreciate the work that goes into the KDE environment :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
