            Bug ID: 490159
Summary: Star hopping fails or hangs
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kstars
           Version: 3.7.0
          Platform: Slackware
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com
          Reporter: nal...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Right click Arcturus
2. Right click and select "Star hop from here to..."
3. Right click M3 (the globular star cluster) or several other objects a few
degrees away
4. Select a FOV from the list offered that is 50 arcmin or smaller in diamter.

OBSERVED RESULT
A dialog window with "Star-hopper algorithm failed. If you're trying a large
star hop, try using a smaller FOV or changing the source point" appears. The
advice to choose a smaller FOV appears to be wrong however, as increasing the
FOV to 60 arcmin (eg using the One Degree preset FOV) will allow it work.

EXPECTED RESULT
A star hopping route should be display or on failure the dialog window should
advise using a "larger FOV".

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Slackware-current with 6.9.1 kernel
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.11
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.116.0
Qt Version: 5.15.13

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
At first I experienced an indefinite hang after step 4 above but this was
caused because I created a custom FOV with a FOV that is zero because I thought
"Detect from Ekos" would fill in FOV values for me in the lower panel.
