The frei0r "colgate" effect (also known as "White Balance (LMS)" in kdenlive)
is missing from the kdenlive-16.12-alpha2-x86_64.AppImage.
The colgate.xml effect description is there, the effect is also listed in
kdenliveeffectscategory.rc - there is no indication why it should not work.
However, the effect is not selectable from the GUI, and thus cannot be applied.
Am I missing something?
(This effect is vital to my work on underwater video - so much that I would
need to keep working with kdenlive 0.9x if it wasn't available in current
versions.)
