FWIW I can't reproduce plasmashell crashing when the app quits, at least not with everything built from git master. I think we need to investigate what's happening a bit more before we can point the finger at the app. Maybe it's misbehaving and Plasma isn't robust enough, or maybe it's doing something quirky but okay and Plasma is freaking out for no good reasons.
