There was never a problem with audio files as far as I can remember. Now under 8.3.0 it doesn't play anymore. I have restored 8.2.0 via TimeMachine. Attached are two screenshots. The first is a WAV screenshot under 8.2.0 after 10 seconds. The screen is black and the time display is at 00:00:10 and I can hear the audio. The second is a screenshot under 8.3.0 (same audio file), also after 10 seconds. The screen is white and the display remains at 00:00:00 and now sound is to hear.
