Can confirm same behavior, from a fresh install of KDE Plasma on Fedora 40, I
added the "Power and Battery" widget to the panel, and it displays no
batteries, as well as the power-profiles not supported message, relevant
terminal outputs (https://pastebin.com/t75TdtHc).

Additional information: Removing the widget and adding it again fixes the
issue, but it will appear again on next boot.
