However, I thought I'd try something. I ungrouped the clips and tried shifting the audio. I could not move it. I then tried to shift the video and I could shift it. Taking a risk I shifted it a few seconds, saved and quit. When I re-opened the project the clips were ungrouped and in their last saved positions. At this point I could also shift the audio clip.
