            Bug ID: 488221
Summary: Add option to set a global custom time format (like
                    the Digital Clock applet)
    Classification: Applications
           Product: systemsettings
           Version: 5.27.11
          Platform: Debian testing
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: kcm_regionandlang
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: kritom...@gmail.com
                CC: hanyo...@protonmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Just like we can set a custom time format in the Digital Clock applet, it would
be nice if we could set one that affects the desktop globally (lock screen,
SDDM login screen, Dolphin...) instead of having to select from a list of
preconfigured ones.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open system settings.
2. Go to Region & Language in Regional Settings.
3. Modify Time.

OBSERVED RESULT

There is a massive list of preconfigured formats, but no option to set a custom
format.

EXPECTED RESULT

There should be an option to set a custom format.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian Trixie
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.11
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.115.0
Qt Version: 5.15.13

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
So far I am using a systemd script to modify Breeze theme's Clock.qml to set my
format on system startup. This works for the SDDM login screen and lock screen,
but not dolphin.
