Bug ID: 488000 Summary: Fonts appear warped on 9:16 aspect ratios Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 24.05.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: vassz...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** SUMMARY When using "vertical" resolutions (9:16), fonts appear warped when rendered. If I set my project to 16:9 again, the fonts appear as they should. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Choose a 9:16 aspect ratio. 2. Open a subtitle track and enter some sample text. 3. Render the video and see the results. OBSERVED RESULT Fonts appear warped on the video. (Like the horizontal scale, which gets "shrank".) EXPECTED RESULT The fonts should appear like how they appear in 16:9 videos.
