The Granular Scatter Processor effect is broken in function and controls.
I tried testing on Linux Mint (in VirtualBox) Flatpak (Kdenlive Origin) but the
effect was not available there.
LMMS has similar issues with this filter. Using it turns off output both during
playback and on export, unless Wet/Dry is changed at which point only the
original audio is audible.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start new project
2. Drag 171116__ondrosik__laugh3.wav to audio track 1 (
https://freesound.org/people/ondrosik/sounds/171116/ CC0 also attached to this
ticket)
3. In "Effects" search for "Granular Scatter Processor" and drag it to the clip
4. Try default settings or any other settings and play back in Kdenlive
5. Export the project and view it
Observed result:
1. Density, Grain Length, Grain Attack values cannot change from "0", no matter
where the bar is pulled or typed directly into the number field
2. You can hear no output, unless Wet/Dry is moved towards the left, at which
point you can hear the original audio only
Expected result:
1. You can change all values
2. You can hear scattered audio when playing back in Kdenlive or the exported
file

1. Fix the effect or
2. Remove the effect or
3. Inform users of the effect being broken in the UI or
4. Do nothing and consider it enough this ticket exists for people being able
to searchenginefind it
