SUMMARY
Whenever I use multiple instances of Kate, the Kate icon in the Dock very often
turns yellow/orange and turns into foreground and wants attention, for no
apparent reason.
It seems that the "internal console" (called "output" in german) (button on the
bottom left in Kate) is blinking too.
I always have to click on the icon so it goes back into background.
This is quite annoying.

I file this bug here, because I don't have this problem with other programs,
only with Kate.
