Bug ID: 487765 Summary: Kate Icon in Dock very often asks for attention Classification: Applications Product: kate Version: 24.05.0 Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: tob...@g3ro.eu Target Milestone: --- *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** SUMMARY Whenever I use multiple instances of Kate, the Kate icon in the Dock very often turns yellow/orange and turns into foreground and wants attention, for no apparent reason. It seems that the "internal console" (called "output" in german) (button on the bottom left in Kate) is blinking too. I always have to click on the icon so it goes back into background. This is quite annoying. I file this bug here, because I don't have this problem with other programs, only with Kate. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. see above OBSERVED RESULT See above. EXPECTED RESULT No behaviour like above.
