I am having this issue on Arch Linux after updating to KDE Plasma 6. I never
had an issue with thumbnails previous to this. I have reinstalled the
ffmpegthumbnailer, ffmpegthumbs, and kdegraphics-thumbnailers packages as
suggested by Dashon, all to no effect. Image thumbnails DO appear for me in
Gwenview, when I select the open file option in Kate, and when I open the file
upload dialog from Firefox. However image thumbnails DO NOT appear when I open
the sidebar in Kamoso. I hope these details can help to narrow down the source
of this bug to get it fixed ASAP, as it is a huge inconvenience. Is there code
or libraries that both Dolphin and Kamoso use, but not Gwenview and Kate?
My system details:
Dolphin Version: 24.02.2
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.2.0
QT Version: 6.7.0
Kernel Version: 6.9.1-arch1-2 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
I have also confirmed that at least one other Arch user is experiencing this
