ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Assigning the shortcut in the settings for the desktop effects doesn't work,
either. Apparently there are many layers through which shortcuts are being
assigned and they are conflicting with each other.

Try to assign the Menu key to the application dashboard and the Meta key to
show the overview. That is also impossible but it is what I want: These keys
have icons on them that would match their function if I only could assign them
like that. No matter what I assign, the Meta key always brings up the
application dashboard :((((

Is KDE still in an alpha stage?
