SUMMARY
While he mixer popup is visible (i.e. I have it open and the mouse in it) the
audio volume is normal. When the popup hides the volume is reduced considerably
after a few seconds. Opening the popup again brings audio back to normal.
This is somewhat random, i.e. I observe this behavior every few bootups, but
not always.
