I confirm that the start page should be reworked.
The organization scheme of the start page proposed by @Pilichowski still
remains relevant today.
When opening GwenView, we feel more like we're using a file explorer (accessory
image) than using a simple image viewer. What about “dolphin”?

1) There should be an option (like dolphin) to open Gwenview directly in the
same folder before closing it.
and-or 2) an option to open Gwenview directly in the default image folder.
and-or 3) an option to set default path to Home. we spend too much time
clicking before viewing what we use this software for
