If it's for every directory, could you please check the following: - you have Dolphin installed - Dolphin and Konqueror use the same versions of Qt and KDE framework. You can find what version each application uses by going to its Help menu, choosing the "About Konqueror" or "About Dolphin" entry then going to the "Components" tab.
