Bug ID: 484589 Summary: Auto hide panel activation zone includes only panel size Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: eske...@gmail.com CC: niccolo.venera...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 167842 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=167842&action=edit screen recording of bug SUMMARY A panel with a custom size (or fit contents) not filling the entire side of the screen and set to auto-hide does only activate on the zone the panel fills, but not the entire side. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a new panel with a custom size or fit contents and auto-hide 2. Make it smaller than the entire side 3. Move cursor outside of panel zone but on the same side OBSERVED RESULT The panel only shows when mouse enters the zone that the panel fills. For panels that are set to fit-contents this means having to remember the size of the panel, instead of just moving the cursor over to that side. EXPECTED RESULT It should be possible to configure the activation zone of a panel to fill the entire side of a screen.
