I'm seeing a very similar bug, except that `powerprofilesctl` shows the correct
state (while the slider still jumps back to the left), see

BTW, the upstream project is active again, at
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/upower/power-profiles-daemon/
Also, I find it a weird to mark bug as "resolved upstream", when it is not in
fact resolved, neither here nor upstream (upstream just decided that
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/upower/power-profiles-daemon/-/issues/106 is a
firmware problem, and thus not their problem)
