Bug ID: 483450 Summary: Ability to autocrop screenshots for removing edges that have all of it's pixels of the same color value. Classification: Applications Product: Spectacle Version: 22.12.3 Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: noaha...@gmail.com Reporter: bryanfr...@hotmail.com CC: k...@david-redondo.de Target Milestone: --- It would be nice if Spectacle had the built in capability to auto-crop images. That is, if all pixels of an outer edge have the same color value, crop the edge. Doing this would save space, and focus more on what matters in image screenshots. This can be currently be done by exporting the screenshot to `KolourPaint` then going to 'Image ' > 'Autocrop'. It would be nice to be able to bypass this exporting to KolourPaint step, and simply click a button in Spectale to do this. Maybe an 'Autocrop' button, or an 'Autocrop' option in 'Tools', as well as an option to 'Autocrop' automatically upon taking a screenshot. Feels like this could have a better name than 'Autocrop'. Could something like 'auto border removal', 'de-boarder' be a better name?
