Gaps between desktops and margins or padding between the edges or other apps
I'm not entirely sure if this is the appropriate place to report this, but I'll
give it a try. In the Overview and Grid View, the margins or padding are
excessively large, leaving a considerable amount of space unused. In my
opinion, these margins/paddings should be much smaller.
Personally, I would prefer to completely eliminate the gaps from the edge of
the screen or between visible applications. Ideally, windows would simply be
flush against each other.
You can observe the current margins/paddings in the screenshots.
The red border I've added indicates the suggested margins/paddings that would
be ideal for me. I hope the screenshots provide clarity on the issue.
Personally, I consider it somewhat of a bug that such a significant amount of
space is wasted, and users should have configuration options to eliminate such
large margins/paddings.
Additionally, I'd like to point out that the gaps between virtual desktops in
Grid View should also be adjustable. I would prefer to set them to 0 as well.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Toggle Grid View
2. Toggle Overview
OBSERVED RESULT
The margins or padding are excessively large.
EXPECTED RESULT
The padding/margin between the edges or other apps should be significantly
smaller in both the Overview and Grid View.
The margins or padding should be smaller, and ideally, users should be able to
adjust them in the settings.
I would also appreciate it if the "Filter" input in the Overview view could be
disabled to gain some additional space.
