In addition to the two trackpoint "mice" advertised by my laptop, I've also got
an external Razer mouse and Keychron keyboard. This gets me an extra four
pointer devices, only one of which is the "main" mouse:

Conclusion: Some devices like to expose additional USB interfaces on top of
their main purpose. Perhaps to emulate some mouse features. Not sure how to
demote those in the KCM - one idea would be to list them, but order them by the
number of pointer-related features they provide (like extra mouse buttons,
left-handed mode, etc.).
