SUMMARY
Logout is not working

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.   Login into Plasma
2.   Select "Log Out" icon from menu
3.   A popup menu comes up.  In that menu select the "Log Out" icon, select
"OK", or let the timer count down to 0.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens - I do not get logged out of the desktop session.

Also, after attempting to logout once or twice, the popup menu stops coming up
when selecting the "Log Out" icon from the main menu.  So, it seems like
something is happening in the background, but hanging.

EXPECTED RESULT
I will be logged out of the desktop session and presented the Log In screen.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:  KDE neon 6.0
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
To resolve this issue I have applied all updates, and I have tried the
following, neither of which work:

1.  Creating /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.kde.LogoutPrompt.service with the
following code:
 [D-BUS Service]
 Name=org.kde.LogoutPrompt
 Exec=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexec/ksmserver-logout-greeter

and

2.  Renaming my old desktop configuration to make it a backup file and letting
Plasma create a new default desktop configuration.

I solved my issue with restart and shut down not working by creating an
org.kde.Shutdown.service file per comments posted for Bug 481938, which also
provided item 1 above, but the solution provided therein for logout does not
work on my system.

Mine is not a fresh Neon installation, it was automatically updated from the
previous version using Discover Updates.  As of this writing, all updates have
been applied and Discover indicates my system if "Up to date".
