This is working fine for the motion photos stored as jpeg created by the default Samsung camera app on my S23. The video is extracted as .mp4 and playback is fine. If I choose to store pictures in a "high efficiency" format, i.e. as HEIC, exiftool creates a broken 12 byte mp4. No error message, just a silently broken file.
