Hi, thank you for your bug report!
KDE decided to implement this since a lot of users explicitly asked for this
behavior (e.g., see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3212)
For workaround, you could take a look at
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3212#c81
Marking this as intentional since this was intentionally implemented.
