That is not my problem / the bug I'm talking about. I try to be more precise:

1) Let's say there is an original photo (Image1.jpg) and an edited version
(Image1_v1.jpg). Both images are in the same album / folder.
2) After editing a photo, I usually only want to see the current edit, so I
deselected the option "Always show original images".
3) Thumbnail mode and preview mode now only displays the edited version (v1).
4) When I preview this versioned photo (same in thumbnails mode), the statusbar
says "Image1_v1.jpg", digiKam properties say "versioned: yes".
5) Now I open the versions tab from the right sidebar. In the version list, I
can see the original file and the current edit.
6) BUG: I select the list entry with the original file and expect to see the
original file in full preview, but nothing changes. Statusbar still displays
"Image1_v1.jpg" and the preview picture is the same current version.
(Same in Thumbnail mode, the thumbnail shown is also only "Image1_v1.jpg".

I think this should be fixed soon, unless the versions tab was designed to be
just informative without function (but in that case the list doesn't need to be
"selectable".
