Yes. 

My test case: logging to KDE with Wayland, go to System Settings > Power
Management > Energy Saving and set "Screen Energy Saving" to "1 min". I wait
for the screens to turn off into stand-by. Then after a few seconds I move the
mouse again to wake them up. This is when the entire desktop is black, windows
are glitchy, taskbar is semi-broken.
