I checked WAL mode. PNG files were deleted from the database as I wanted in
configuration / view / Type mine (-png) then used the instructions in your link
for maintenance but this hardly changes the waiting time when launching the
program .
The SQLite database actually contains around 400,000 thumbnails.
The only Album "CD AlbumHTML UTF-8" has a recursive structure from 2001 until
2023 with 107,000 thumbnails:
The selection when closing then displaying the thumbnails is on the year 2023
which contains 2 sub-folders
1- Year 2023
2- Sub-folder 1: Miscellaneous semester 1
3- Sub-folder 2: Miscellaneous Semester 2
When opening, the selection is for the year 2023. This year contains 3000
thumbnails.
When opening, is it really this selection that is loaded in the background
before displaying the screen containing only these thumbnails and not all of
the thumbnails present in the SQL database ?
