Just had exact same problem using Gentoo Linux on Intel Atom N570 with kernel
6.1.57 and this video:

Workaround:
1. Using kcmshell5 kcm_qtquicksettings switched renderer to software mode.
2. Turned off video acceleration in other apps where possible (this helped with
Steam client)
Red rectangle backgrounds is gone. So is acceleration.
