I have found instances where the UI freezes temporarily, these may be separate
issues but here are two of them:
1. In chrome, when selecting the 'Install' option.
2. In fedora when installing some rpm's with dnf like papirus-icon-theme
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install a web app using Chrome/Chromium
OBSERVED RESULT
UI Freezes for a short but noticeable period of time.
EXPECTED RESULT
The UI not to freeze.

Linux/KDE Plasma:
